Jill Jacobs is a California licensed attorney practicing real estate and business law for environmentally and socially friendly businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Jill’s background includes working as a staff attorney at Senior Citizens Legal Services, providing legal representation on a broad range of issues including consumers’ rights violations, elder abuse, public and private benefits, tenant and landlord issues, healthcare, eviction defense, fair employment and housing, disability law, construction defects, and more. She has also practiced Social Security law and workers’ compensation law on behalf of applicants.
Jill has a BA in Anthropology from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Juris Doctorate with a Certificate of Environmental Law from Pace School of Law in New York, where she externed at the Land Use Law Center, interned at the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, and worked as a student attorney at the Environmental Litigation Clinic. Her career has included work as a domestic violence victims’ rights advocate, a substitute teacher for grades K-12, and a marketer for organic farms in California.
Jill’s past volunteering and internships include California Rural Legal Assistance, California FarmLink, and Save Our Shores. Presently, she is a Fellow at the Sustainable Economies Law Center, where she volunteers, receives continuing legal education, and is part of a network of attorneys practicing law to advance the reality of beautiful dreams of how the world may be.
Personally, she is motivated by love and gratitude for people, nature, singing, and learning.
